An exhibition fit-out in a historic hall: back-lit black volumes set beneath a frescoed vault

Biella, Italy · since 1992

Exhibitions, books and events. Designed and built in-house.

We draw the layout, print the panels, build the walls and edit the catalogue. From the first floor plan to opening night you talk to us, not to five suppliers.

The workshop

Five hundred square metres of warehouse is an argument.

We do not subcontract the physical half. Printing, cutting, installation and transport stay in-house, which is why delivery dates hold and last-minute corrections get made the night before.

Questions

What people ask before handing us a room.

What exactly does E20Progetti do?

E20Progetti is a communication agency and publishing house based in Biella, Italy, working since 1992. We design and build exhibition and museum displays, run cultural events and festivals, produce visual identity and print, and publish books and catalogues. Production — large-format printing, cutting, installation — happens in our own warehouse.

Do you only design, or do you build the fit-out as well?

Both, and that is why clients come back. We draw the display, produce the graphics and panels on our own plotter, and our installation crew hands the room over ready. One point of contact, one schedule, no arguments between designer and supplier.

Do you only work in Piedmont?

We are based in Biella and Piedmont remains our home ground, but we have installed at Palazzo Reale and La Triennale in Milan, MACRO in Rome, and in Ventimiglia and Porto Cervo. In Vercelli our work was the catalogue and the communications campaign, not the fit-out. With two vans and an in-house crew we travel without subcontracting.

Are you genuinely a publishing house too?

Yes. We publish under our own imprint: over 200 titles covering history, art, photography, food and wine, nature and fiction, with a particular focus on the Biella area. The catalogue is sold directly through our online bookshop.

Do you print large format in-house?

Yes. We run a Mimaki solvent plotter, a laminator, a cutting plotter and mounting equipment for prints and signage. Keeping every stage in-house means controlled quality and shorter lead times — for panels, window graphics, signage, wayfinding and vehicle wraps.

Do you work with public bodies and foundations?

It is most of what we do: municipalities, civic museums, banking foundations, cultural associations. We are registered on MePA, the Italian public-administration e-procurement marketplace, for event-space fit-out services, and we are used to the timescales and paperwork a public procedure involves.

How long does an exhibition fit-out take?

It depends on the room, the loans and the permissions, and there is no standard answer: a permanent museum fit-out is measured in months, a temporary show in weeks. The initial site visit is when that range becomes a date in the calendar, and we do it before quoting.

How do I request a quote?

Write to info@e20progetti.it or call +39 015 2529201. If you already have floor plans, opening dates or a rough budget, send them: with those we can come back with real numbers rather than a range.

Tell us about the room you need to fill.

Floor plans, dates, a budget range — enough for us to come back with real numbers.
